PHOTOS FROM THE OPENING NIGHT!
There are so many reasons why the title of my exhibition seemed appropriate and here are just a few:
• I found my time in space to pursue a rekindled passion.
• My artwork is often inspired by found objects.
• I was found by Maxwell Wines to exhibit my artwork.
• I have found my style.
Although I’m not normally one for quotes, this one was recently sent to me by my sister.
“When you buy from an independent artist you are buying more than just a painting or a novel or a song. You are buying hundreds of hours of experimentation and thousands of failures. You are buying days, weeks, months, years of frustration and moments of pure joy. You aren’t just buying a thing. You are buying a piece of a heart, part of a soul, a private moment in someone’s life. Most importantly, you are buying that artist more time to do something they are truly passionate about; something that makes all of the above worth the fear and the doubt; something that puts the life into the living.”

It was amazing to see so many people at my opening night, with less than a month to produce new work and have them printed was quite a tall order, but I achieved my set goal as always. The black and white succulent prints seemed to be the hit of the evening, which I was very pleased about since I personally prefer my less fussy, bold pieces. People commented on how I seemed to have catered for a variety of different tastes, which I also try to do. All in all it was a very positive and rewarding evening. My exhibition is open until the end of March. Maxwell Wines is a very popular winery in McLaren Vale so the exposure alone is very worthwhile and I once again thank them for hosting my art work.
If you are interested in purchasing or licensing any of my work, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for looking and reading as always.
